Update 3 (Research)
I have also accomplished a great deal of research in this field. This doesn't just mean I've been playing other games and have been keeping a detailed journal but it also means scholarly research and articles I pulled off the Internet. The great deal of my research actually proves my thesis statement of saying that Video games do not actually cause increased levels of aggression or violence with increased play. I would chalk this up to usually just luck of finding the right articles but 18 of my 20 articles support this theme with the exception of one scholarly and one popular article. Regardless I have completed a half draft of my paper and this will be my last blog post with the exception of one or two more if I can think of anything else to update the upcoming days. Stay tuned if you actually like to see my finished paper I'll put it up as soon as I finish it. Have a good day.
Update 2 (Accomplishments)
Over the past thirty days I have actually accomplished quite a few things. I have raised my grades considerably with all of the free time I have had to replace. I also have started a new relationship and increased my roles in both the fraternity and the radio station I am working at. Everything that I have accomplished makes me want to keep the controller aside but it will be great to finally blow off some steam again. But regardless that is my accomplishment update.
Update 1
Well it is officially the last day and I am proud to say that I have made it all the way through my experiment. I avoided playing a first person shooting game for 30 days! I am actually quite proud of this achievement because I broke my ridiculous obsession with the industry for an entire month. I will be sitting down at midnight to play a game of Call of Duty but I am just happy to say I can set aside the controller for the sake of life. I will have a few more updates on what I have accomplished and what I have learned from research before the end of the night.

Delay the Post
Yeah I'm bored. This project just kinda seems silly at this point. I have not really seen any progress on the emotional front. I have lost some connections over the course of the project. Also the fact that no one is actually sticking to their project with the exception of me is just disconcerting. Matt, Conner, Chris, and Evan (who I talk about the project with) just seem to be listing by and it is not encouraging or helpful. I'm about sick of this. Due to my attitude there will be no picture.

Writing Assignment
For the past week I have avoided playing FPS games in a variety of ways. I have played Fifa and NBA as well as a lot of Forza. I have played cards and hung out at the fraternity house. Just typical class and college stuff. The project is going well. I can not really improve. I have noticed a slight softening in my demeanor. Other than that I have no concerns. That's all for now! Sorry for no red bull. Power berries are good though.

The first week.
I have had a pretty easy time so far. Sorry for not posting but I have been keeping myself so busy that I forgot to post these last couple days. I actually haven't really though about Call of Duty since day 4 when I watched a bunch of people play it. As far as short run results, I feel much more mellow. I have still been playing Xbox. I have been playing a lot of Forza, which is a racing game, instead and it is very relaxing. I have noticed less aggression in my personality but when I do get agitated I tend to snap. That isn't very healthy but it is for the same of research. My book research is still progressing with annotations and the such but is slow recently. I will try to post more soon!
